.The three Boston Exam Schools are the Boston Latin Academy, the Boston Latin School, and the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. These three schools accept students in grades 7-9 (the O’Bryant School also accepts some 10th grade students).
To apply to one of these schools, you must be a Boston resident (both student and parent), send your scores from the Independent School Entrance Exam, or ISEE, and provide information about your current grade level.
It is important to note that you must provide verification that you are a resident of Boston. For more information on that process, click here. The ISEE test consists of four sections, be sure to know which level is appropriate for your child (Middle Level is for students entering 7th grade, Upper Level is for students entering 9th and 10th grade). In addition to residency and ISEE scores, the information from your child’s current grade level is used to calculate a GPA.
